In Luxembourg, I had to drink champagne at dawn, even though I remember that famous saying that only aristocrats or degenerates drink champagne in the morning. And I definitely don't have princely ancestry. Finally, on a sunny day in Botswana, just as I had lathered my face and was about to shave, a huge rhinoceros appeared before me in all its glory... The most unique places in the world are those where you can be sure that everything will go wrong from the very beginning. And "Rhinoceros in the Bathroom" is a book about precisely those stubborn surprises that heat up the water in the otherwise cold bathroom of life.

#Booktok

A heartwarming story about the role of the family we choose, the pain that comes with estrangement from our loved ones, and the triumph when we rediscover our connection with them—and with ourselves.

Ali Hazelwood

Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since college. Inseparable like salt and pepper, like milk and honey, like lobsters and Maine... Until they broke up.

It's been five months since they've been together, but they still haven't told their best friends. They can't do it—not now, when everyone is at their favorite villa, where they've been spending their vacations for years. For one week in the summer, the six of them leave their everyday lives behind and indulge in wine, seafood, and blissful conversations with the people who understand them best. Except this year, Harriet and Wyn are too busy pretending they're still together and turning a blind eye to the fact that they still desire each other desperately. They can't tell the truth. This is their last vacation here, and it has to be perfect. So they'll just play their parts. After years of being in love, how hard can it be to pretend for just a week?

Meaningful, sunny, and sexy! The best way to go on vacation without leaving your couch!

#Booktok, #Booktok Teen Books
Can the princess overthrow the king?

Aiden may have won the battle and destroyed Elsa's heart, but the war is far from over. Just like in a game of chess, in life, the path to victory begins with a well-thought-out move. Everyone underestimates princesses, but they forget that sooner or later they become the most powerful piece on the board.

She is a queen, not a pawn.
Elsa may pretend to be made of steel, but Aiden already possesses her soul. And no one, not even she herself, can dispute that fact. If Elsa wants war, she will get it. If she wants to play, they will play. By his rules. And if she tries to take his throne, he will drag her down with him—but he will never let her go.

The explosive sequel to The Broken King.

How was society structured during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom? Was there a feudalism similar to the Western European one and what was the hierarchy in the Bulgarian aristocracy? Did our boyars have their own heraldry and their own feudal castles? How did they dress? What were their rights, duties, rituals?

In “The Aristocracy of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom” prof. Nikolai Ovcharov sheds light on these important for our history, but poorly studied questions. His extensive and thorough research is presented in a language accessible to a wide audience and is the result of many years of work and research - both on archaeological sites and written sources - Bulgarian, Byzantine, Serbian, Vlach, Moldavian, Western European.

From the vast amount of information he researched, prof. Ovcharov comes to a definite conclusion:

The aristocracy of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom was no less glamorous and proud than the magnificent nobles - dukes, cities and barons of France, England and the Holy Roman Empire of the Germanic people.

About the Author:

Professor Doctor of Historical Sciences Nikolay Ovcharov is an archaeologist known for his researches in Perperikon, Tatul, Veliko Tarnovo, Veliki Preslav, Missionis and Urvich. He is the author of dozens of books and hundreds of publications on medieval history and has taught at a number of Bulgarian and foreign universities. He is a Knight of the Order of St. He is a recipient of the Order of St. Cyril and Methodius with a necklace for outstanding services in the field of culture and a recipient of the highest award of the Ministry of Culture - the Golden Century with a necklace. In 2024 he became an honorary professor of the "Dimitry A. He is also the President of the University of Sofia.

The book ends with a “Memoir” of the boyars of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom, which lists the names of aristocrats and their deeds that have survived.

The book contains numerous photographs, including a colour appendix with photographs of Bulgarian fortresses and castles, preserved frescoes with images of aristocrats, archaeological findings related to the clothing, jewellery and lifestyle of the aristocrats.

The cover, created by the artist Damyan Damyanov, is a reproduction of a coat of arms similar to the coats of arms with lions used in the Second Bulgarian Kingdom.

The publication was made with the kind assistance and support of Klinetech Bulgaria Ltd.

Ever since the Petko R. Slaveykov Regional Library launched a national competition for writing crime stories under the general title "The (Un)solved Case" in 2021, we have often been asked where, when, and how the submitted works could be read.

Fortunately, since mid-September 2025, we have been able to enjoy a printed book edition. This was made possible thanks to financial support from the Ministry of Culture under the program "Technological renewal, technological equipment, and promotion of reading, media, and information literacy in public libraries." The collection bears the same title, "The (Un)revealed Case," and contains all 23 stories by the participants who won prizes in the four editions of the competition held so far.
