P.R. Slaveykov Regional Library hosted the premiere for Veliko Tarnovo of the documentary film "ROADS AND SHADOWS AT THE END OF THE BAREFOOT SPRING" on June 5, 2024.
The screenwriters of the film are Nevelina Popova, Mihail Meltev; Director: Mihail Meltev; Cinematographer: Boyko Kalev; Composer: Georgi Tsvetkov; PRODUCER: "MELTIAN" EOOD, with the support of the National Film Center
This is the first film about Petko R. Slaveikov: the story of a self-made folk poet and leader born in Veliko Tarnovo. This is a story about the collision of the patriarchal and the modern, of ideals and practicality in the complex personality of the great renaissance man, about the unknown paths of poetic enlightenment and the fateful incorporation of the poet's personal destiny into a masterpiece poem that we grew up with - "The Spring of the White Leg".

On June 5, 2024, Mr. Vencislav Spirdonov - Chairman of the Veliko Tarnovo Municipal Council opened for the eighth year in a row the Summer Campaign of RL "P. R. Slaveykov" - Veliko Tarnovo - "Come to the library with friends".

On 30 May in the foyer of the RL "P. R. Slaveykov" - Veliko Tarnovo for another one year was held the awarding of the winning participants in the International competition "With my eyes I saw the disaster", organized by the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Defence" - V. Tarnovo.
