On April 17, within the framework of the "Autographed Book Lobby", Tsanko Lalev visited the American College "Arkus" in Veliko Tarnovo.
The work of each author is multilayered - with amplitudes of lyrical and dramatic tones, rhythmically or dissonantly intertwining along the spirals of time. Thoughts, tremors, revelations in verse and prose. That's why the staff of the American College Arcus welcomed today its guest - the writer Tsanko Lalev, recalling to him lyrical pieces, offspring of his youth, accompanied by classical music. Magdalena Hristova and Dara Janabetska (Ha class) performed the poems "Sand Quarry" and "Birdcage" accompanied by Desislava Dobreva (IXa class) on flute and Kaloyan Vashkov (XIa class) on piano. The audience enjoyed another musical performance of cello trio - Eva Dimitrova (VIIa class); flute - Margarita Mochukova (VIIa class) and piano - Kaloyan Vashkov (XIa class). This was followed by a conversation with Tsanko Lalev, who told the audience about the creative excitement surrounding the creation of his debut novel "The House of the Bees"; about his interest in history, folklore and mythology, as well as about his emotional connection to our city of Veliko Tarnovo. The presenters, Mirena Petkova and Mila Tabakova (Class X-В), asked questions about the mythological creatures and bogomil beliefs that the author introduces us to in this work. The meeting ended with the promise to be the beginning of a good creative friendship and of course - with autographs. On April 18, 2024, within the 9th edition of the Foyer of the autographed book 2024, the writer Tsanko Lalev visited the students of 8, 9 and 10 grade of "Emilian Stanev" Secondary School. The author presented his newest work - his first novel - "The Bees' Home".In the novel, Tsanko Lalev tells in a fascinating way, like a fairy tale, about the present and past Middle Ages of Bulgaria at the time of the Assenevts. The author has revealed a metaphor of what The House of the Bees is really about, what prompted him to write the novel and why it tells of real and fantasy in parallel. The meeting-talk was exciting, with a lot of attention and interesting questions from the students, which the writer answered engagingly.Ms. Desislava Dobreva also introduced the Hermes Publishing House to the students.
