On April 16 in the reading room of the RL "P. R. Slaveykov" visited the honorary citizen of Lyaskovets - the writer Stoyan Tsonev, who presented his work. His work is connected with the history of the village of Dzhulyunitsa and the native land, with Tryavna and is full of myths and legends and with the glorious gardening past. After his first published novel "Grass Under the Hooves" in 1984, there followed collections of short stories, a historical trilogy "The Greatness of Dulo", "The Battle of Boristenes", "Kanas novigi Beznosia" and "Tangra sees", "Sons of Imeon" - historical novels, as well as the etudes "And the Morning is Far", the novel "And Still Stars Die", "Ahchian Numbers" - culinary skills, the anniversary collection "Selected", "On a White Stone I Stepped Not" - a confession, "Under the Sign of the Taurus" - notes, the collection of myths and legends "The Devil's Thorns", and in 2022 the collection of travelogues "Unknown Roads" is out. The 82-year-old artist is a native of Dzhulyunitsa, but currently lives and works in Tryavna. He completed his primary education in his native village, then studied at the Technical School of Woodcarving and Interior Architecture in the town of Tryavna. After military service he worked and created in the village of Dzhulyunitsa as an editor and artist of the local newspaper-newsletter. He became a member of the community board of trustees, responsible for community and cultural activities, an active theatre actor, writer and artist. Later he settled in the town of Tryavna with his family, and in 1976 he graduated from the University of St. Petersburg. In 1976 he graduated from St. Cyril and Methodius University, majoring in History. From 1979 until his retirement he worked as the Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper "Trevna Week". A historian by profession, a man of creativity by vocation - an artist, woodcarver, editor, who after his retirement also started his writing career.
