On 10 April at 14:00 in the reading room of the RB "P. Р. An event dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the poetess Elisaveta Bagryana was held at the R. Slaveykov Library on April 5, 2018, including the screening of the film "The Eternal and the Holy". The event is part of the rich cultural program of the "Foyer of the autographed book 2024", under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and with the financial support of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, organized by RB "P. Р. Dr. Rositsa Petrova introduced the audience with important moments from the life and creative path of Elisaveta Bagryana. The film about her is based on authentic documents and stories of the poet herself. The actress Elena Petrova drew us into the lyrical intoxication of the ever searching and always true to herself Bagryana. Elizaveta Belcheva - Bagryana was born on April 29, 1893 in the town of Kiev. She was born on 18th birthday in Sofia. However, her life over the years has been marked with many travels and moves. In 1907, her family moved to live in Tarnovo, as her father was appointed as the superintendent of construction of the new railway line - Tarnovo-Borushchitsa. In the old capital she studied for a year at the Maiden's High School. In the following year they moved to Sliven and there she passed the fifth high school grade, after which the family settled again in Sofia. Elisaveta Belcheva studied Slavic philology at Sofia University. During this period she met and became close to the writers Georgi Raichev, Konstantin Konstantinov, Dimcho Debeyanov, Dimitar Podвърzačov, Hristo Yasenov, Nikolai Liliev and others. The centre of their conversations was poetry. In June 2013, he met Yordan Yovkov, whose friendship turned into a true friendship and the impetus for his dedication to poetry. In the foyer of the library there is an art and documentary exhibition "Elisaveta Bagryana", dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the poet's birth. It is the work of the "Sava Dobroplodni" RB, Sofia. The exhibition is a part of the exhibition. In the exhibition are also presented books by Elizaveta Bagryana from the collection of RB "Petko R. Slavejkov".
