Galina Tsvetkova graduated  VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius”. Master of Specialization in 1993 painting a portrait from 1995 is 1996 a professor of painting at VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" - Faculty of Fine Arts. Member of the SBH. Producing 3 solo exhibitions. Participates in all regional and national exhibitions for the general drawing and painting.

   Born in 1954 the town of Veliko Tarnovo. 1986 Graduated VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" - major sculpture in the class of Prof. Nenko Marov. Member of the SBH. Since 1986 regularly participated in regional, national and international exhibitions and symposium sessions. There are 30 solo exhibitions at home and abroad. 200 participated in collective exhibitions. His works are owned by municipal, state and private museums and collections in Bulgaria and abroad.

Work in the field of sculpture, painting, drawing and ceramics.

Born on the 12.09.1933g. in Karavelovo  village, Plovdiv district. Graduated VIII N. Pavlovich - Sofia, skulpture, Prof. Marko Markov (1962). Member of the SBH. Since 1963 participated in national and regional art exhibitions. Head of Department of Sculpture in FII in VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius”. Associate Professor, Professor. Made monumental works in the town of Veliko Tarnovo, Strazhitsa village Oreshak. Award for sculpture: OHI - Sofia (1963), OHI - Veliko Tarnovo (1969, 1981). Winner of the Medal of St. Kliment Ohridski "(1981).

Venko Tonkov

 

Born on 17.12.1954g. Polish Senovets in the village, Veliko Tarnovo. Graduated VTU “St. St. Cyril and Methodius "in the course of Panayot Dimitrov subject Sculpture (1978). Member of the SBH-Veliko Tarnovo. Made 6 solo exhibitions in the country. Has participated in numerous regional, national, international sculpture exhibitions and symposum. Served as Professor of Sculpture in FII in VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius ". His works are owned by the National Gallery - Sofia, HG" Boris Denev "V.Tarnovo; House of Humor and Satire, Gabrovo and private collections.

 

 

Anastasia Tonkov

 

Born on 16.12.1983g. in the town of Veliko Tarnovo. Graduated VTU St. St. Cyril and Methodius, majoring in Fine Arts Mural Painting Prof. Oleg Gochev and Prof. Boris Jelev. Spezializira Artterapiya the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, Germany. Implements 5 solo exhibitions at home and abroad. Participate in national and international sessions. Her works are the property of House of Humor and Satire - Gabrovo and private collections at home and abroad.

Between April 24 - June 25, 2009 in Veliko Turnovo will be held the first Biennial of church art and the accompanying seminar on "Church Arts in XXI century - tradition, modernity, trends.

 

     ORGANIZERS: Ministry of Culture, the Holy Diocese of Veliko Tarnovo, Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, VTU St. St. Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Orthodox Theology VTU, Union of Bulgarian Artists, the "Virgin Pokrov.

 

PURPOSE: The exhibition is a forum for contemporary art in the Orthodox church art: icon, mural painting, wood carving, mosaic and others involved in the temple layout and liturgical practice.

 

PARTICIPANTS: Artists working in the field of ecclesiastical art.

 

Eligibility: For the exhibition may be present:

Icon - to three works. Size of the icons are not greater than 120 cm of the long side;

Carving (monumental sculpture and miniature) - up to three works or three panels of photographs and works projects implemented;

Mural painting and mosaic - up to three works in material and / or three panels of photographs or works projects implemented;

Plates, textiles, graphics, miniature and more - up to three works or projects;

Multimedia presentation of the implemented works.

 

The following works with boards and photos are as ready for exposure and a size no larger than 2 meters / 2 meters

 

Works for exhibition shall be adopted by 13 to April 17, 2009 in the Exhibition Complex in the town of Veliko Tarnovo Str Rafael Mihailov "¹ 1. Transport costs for acceptance and return of the works shall be borne by the participants. Works and boards, not the conditions will not be accepted. On the back of each of the works or boards the author must indicate the product name, year of creation, size, material, technique of performance and value.

 

Presentation of the works zhuriraneto and determination of the awards is done by a competent jury.

 

COMPOSITION OF THE JURY: The composition of the jury included a representative from the organizers. President of the jury is determined by the Union of Bulgarian artists and VTU St. St. Cyril and Methodius.

 

   AWARDS: The jury awarded four prizes:

                 o Award of the Minister of Culture;
                 o Award of the Municipality of Veliko Turnovo;
                 o Award of VTU St. St. Cyril and Methodius;
                 o Award of SBH;
                 o may be awarded special prizes.

 

     Seminar: topic "Church Arts in XXI century. Tradition and modernity, trends. The seminar will be held on 25 - April 26, 2009 Within its provides multimedia presentation of the implemented works.

At the first Biennial of church art - VelikoTarnovo 2009
Dear organizers, dear colleagues and guests will not do izkustvovedcheski analysis of works from the exhibition that will leave participants in semenara only will share some of my thoughts and impressions, and I will give you explanations about the work of the jury.
I was a member and Chairman of the jury, which consisted of one representative from each of the organizers of this exhibition. Our task was no light as to be a huge number of selected works. Our work goes in two rounds, with the first works were selected by the indisputable qualities and those qualities are not there, to be shown in many large and prestigious exhibition like this. I assure you that all work in good conscience recognize a liability for the quality of the displayed works. The main criterion in the jury was highest professionalism and spazvanito of rules.
Fair rules of the organizers of Veliko Tarnovo to make this exhibition so much labor as it is not samotselna, but because there is such a obshtestvenna necessary. Before 10 years, namely RECOGNIZING that the Department of Monumental Arts SBH am organized and made such a big exhibition in the halls of Raiko Alexiev as attracted to it and SAB. The exhibition was dedicated to the Millennium, in honor of the holidays for 2000god.
I realize our show because we realized that there are problems in the design and realization of contemporary Bulgarian Orthodox Church: Which way to go today in 21 century? Whether by way of strict observance of rules, our legacy from our ancestors through the ages, or time to go in new ways, but how and in what way, if there is a middle option, many questions that inevitably faced by designers, artists and architects zaeli a noble, but so difficult to create a modern Orthodox Church. All we have seen that throughout our country in many places along with beautiful works of architects and artists, can be seen and not good there, and sometimes just amateur "works" in God's temple is not, believe that we all agree.
In this connection, we believe that long time is to be constituted committee of experts to the Holy Synod, to ensure high quality and professionalism in the future prizvedeniya noviteBalg. Orthodox churches. It should include theologian, artists, architects and art.
I am delighted that this exhibition with our common efforts is already a fact and it is here among us to enjoy the mastery and talent of the artists that good God, generously poured out in our land.
Ia I personally wanted to see more work -
a canon, but with the author's personal style. I recognize that this task is indeed difficult, but SBH is a creative organization and as such I see something in the frescoes of Prof. Oleg Gochev with great pleasure to award him pass SBH, congratulate him and wish him to give of their great talent more works for the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
